CJ Jones is no stranger to the media industry. For over three decades his incredible vocal talents and skills have dazzled clients around the globe. He has helped create award-winning radio stations, has voiced a number of major radio and television commercials like the 2003 Super Bowl Gospel Fest radio spots on Urban One iHeart radio, and is noted for his versatility, creativity, power, and style that uniquely defines his gift. With his vast knowledge of music, CJ successfully programmed three formats in radio. He currently hosts and produces his own radio programs: “The Big Brother CJ Show” and other original, signature broadcasts which air on terrestrial and internet stations across the nation and reach numerous cities across the globe – several of which are Stellar Award-winning stations. The Big Brother CJ Show features songs that “change lives and touch lives” by bridging songs of unity with songs of purpose.
With his diverse experience in radio, television, stage, film, and music, he is a multiple award-winning talent and is described as radical, revolutionary, innovative, and cutting edge. CJ began his career as a musician (CJ’s Uptown Crew). As one of the contributors to the sound of “Go-Go” (a music genre originating in Washington, (expired link).), he recently appeared in TV One‘s The Beat Don't Stop and the Unsung about Chuck Brown as well as an independent film --The Legend Of Cool Disco Dan. He is also noted in “The Beat,” a history of GoGo music. CJ is a three-time “WAMMIE” (Washington Area Music Association) award winner and has more than 53 music recordings under his belt. With BB CJ, he charted nationally on Billboard’s top 25 (“Redds & The Boys Movin’ and Groovin’”) and is an NAACP and United Black Fund award recipient.
